If you decide to transfer a domain name from one registrar to another, you will have to go through several security steps. One of them is getting a unique EPP authorization code from the current domain name registrar – as long as you are the registrant, since the code is sent to the owner's mailbox and nobody else can get it. You’ll have to give this code to the new registrar, or else they will not be able to start the transfer. The EPP authorization codes are case-sensitive and may contain digits or special symbols such as dots or commas, which can be easily mistyped, so make sure you copy & paste the right code. As an extra protection measure, the transfer code for a domain may be altered on a regular basis. Certain domain name registrars refer to this code as a domain password, an Auth key or a domain secret as well.

EPP Transfer Protection in Semi-dedicated Servers

If you wish to transfer any domain that is registered under a semi-dedicated server account to another company, you can obtain its EPP transfer authorization code with a couple of clicks from your Hepsia Control Panel. All registered domain names will be shown in an independent Control Panel section. Quick-access controls will enable you to use separate features. To get the transfer code, you only need to click the EPP icon, which will be to the right of any domain whose TLD extension supports transfers with an authorization code. Our system will email the code to the domain name owner’s email, which is presently listed in the domain’s WHOIS record. If you wish, you can edit this email from the exact same Control Panel section before requesting the transfer code. The update will take effect right away, so you do not have to wait for the new email to show up on WHOIS websites.
